Billy Adamson (27 May 1944 – 11 November 2013) was a Scottish musician, best known as the longtime drummer and percussionist for the English pop rock band The Searchers. He joined them shortly after their most famous period in 1969 and remained with them until 1998.

Billy Adamson, the band's drummer from 1970 to 1998, died in France on 11 November 2013, aged 69. In September 2017, John McNally had a stroke and stood aside from the band for two months to recover. In 2018, The Searchers announced that the band would be retiring, and they ended their farewell tour on 31 March 2019.

Heard the news yesterday about Bill Adamson. His spirit has left this earth though his body still lies somewhere in France. I well remember Bill joining the Band at the end of the '60s taking over from Johnny Blunt. He was still there when I left to form MPS in 1985.
