Our mission is to honor and preserve the history of Bishop McDevitt High School (Wyncote, Pa) which opened in 1958 and closed in 2021. Our main objective is to hold annual events for alumni and friends of Bishop McDevitt to gather socially to keep the Lancer spirit alive.

Bishop McDevitt High School is a private, Roman Catholic, co-educational high school in Lower Paxton Township, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1918 as "Catholic High School" in Harrisburg and renamed in 1957 to honor the memory of the Most Reverend Philip R. McDevitt, fourth bishop of Harrisburg and founder of the school.
Bishop McDevitt is a hidden gem right in Glenside. This high school is an intimate, Catholic based college prep school that allows students to grow on a spiritual and academic level. Each student here is a name not a number, every students' success is important and valued at McDevitt.
Bishop McDevitt High School started an Alumni Hall of Fame in 1994 when four graduates were inducted into the school's Hall of Fame. In 2015, the Legends of McDevitt was introduced to honor individuals (do not have to be McDevitt alumni) who had a profound impact on Bishop McDevitt.
