Blank Generation, released in 1980, is a punk rock film that captures the raw energy and rebellious spirit of the era. Directed by Ulli Lommel, the movie stars Richard Hell as Billy, a young musician living in the gritty and bohemian Lower East Side of Manhattan. Despite his talent and potential, Billy is disillusioned with the music industry and feels alienated from the society around him.
