Bob Kane war ein US-amerikanischer Comiczeichner, -autor und -redakteur. Zusammen mit Autor Bill Finger schuf er 1939 für DC Comics den bekannten klassischen Superhelden Batman. 1994 wurde er für sein Wirken in die Jack Kirby Hall of Fame aufgenommen, 1996 in die Ruhmeshalle des Eisner Award.
Robert Kane ( né Kahn / kɑːn /; October 24, 1915 – November 3, 1998) was an American comic book writer, animator and artist who co-created Batman (with Bill Finger) and most early related characters for DC Comics. He was inducted into the comic book industry's Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1993 and into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1996.

He was born in 1915 in New York City and died in 1998 in Los Angeles. He worked for Fleischer Studios, Eisner & Iger, and DC Comics, and received several awards for his contributions to the comic book industry.
