24. Juni 2021 · Brian London, who took his nickname from his hometown Blackpool, challenged Muhammad Ali for the world heavyweight title in 1966. He also ran a nightclub frequented by sports stars and showbiz icons, and entertained Bobby Moore and West Ham before a FA Cup match.
Brian London, who has died aged 87, was the son of a boxing champion and a contender for the world heavyweight title. He fought Muhammad Ali, Floyd Patterson and other legends of the era, but also suffered some controversial losses and bans.
