Brock Peters (born George Fisher; July 2, 1927 – August 23, 2005) was an American actor and singer, best known for playing the villainous "Crown" in the 1959 film version of Porgy and Bess, and Tom Robinson in the 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird.
Brock Peters was an American actor of African and West Indian ancestry, known for his roles in To Kill a Mockingbird, Star Trek and Soylent Green. He died in 2005 of pancreatic cancer and received two awards and two nominations for his work.
