4. Sept. 2021 · Bruce Gordon Bisland. Age: 65 (born Nov 16th, 1958) Place of birth: Bangladesh (Khulna) Gender: Male. Biography. His first real band was Lipservice, with his brother Steve. He performed in a Praying Mantis line-up that also included Paul Di'Anno, Doogie White and Dennis Stratton.

Sweet (known as The Sweet until the early 1970s [1]) are a British glam rock band who rose to prominence in the 1970s. Their best-known line-up consisted of lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott and drummer Mick Tucker.
Bruce Bisland. Born 16th November 1958 in Khulna, Bangladesh Bruce started playing at 6 years old, the son of a celebrated semi-pro drummer, trumpeter and band leader from Glasgow, Scotland. While on their travels abroad Bruce played his first gig with his fatherʼs jazz band at an outdoor cinema in Nigeria aged 8.
Begleitet wurde das Erscheinen des Albums mit Auftritten in Japan, England und in Deutschland auf dem Wacken Open Air. An sämtlichen Orten erschlossen Praying Mantis neue Publikumsschichten. Kurze Zeit später stiegen Schlagzeuger Bruce Bisland und Sänger Tony O’Hora aus der Band aus.
19. Okt. 2023 · Andy Scott mit 74 und Bruce Bisland mit 64 an den Drums mit einer Megapower. Zu all dem erklärte Andy dann auch noch: „Ich bin sehr, sehr heiser und krank. Aber The Sweet hat noch nie einen Auftritt aus Krankheitsgründen gecancelt. Und ich bin da!“
