Bruno Latour versteht im Kontext seiner Akteur-Netzwerk-Theorie auch Dinge als interaktive Akteure, die zusammen mit menschlichen Akteuren in netzwerkartigen Handlungszusammenhängen agieren. Ein einfaches Beispiel dafür ist der Akteur „Mensch-Pistole“, der aus dem Zusammenwirken der beiden Agenten Pistole und Mensch entsteht und nicht auf einen dieser beiden reduziert werden kann.
