Bruno Streckenbach (7 February 1902 – 28 October 1977) was a German SS functionary during the Nazi era. He was the head of Administration and Personnel Department of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA). Streckenbach was responsible for many thousands of murders committed by Nazi mobile killing squads known as Einsatzgruppen.
Bruno Streckenbach was tasked to train and indoctrinate these men, in the deadly role in the forthcoming conflict, where the four Einsatzgruppen would operate. He detailed the mission of the Einsatzgruppe, which was to seize and destroy all political and radical enemy groups such as Political Commissars Bolsheviks, gypsies, partisans and Jews.

Von November 1933 bis Dezember 1940 war er im SD-Hauptamt beschäftigt, wo er am 20. April 1939 zum SS-Brigadeführer befördert wurde.
Bruno Streckenbach was a leading architect of the Holocaust in Poland and the Soviet Union. He served as the commander of Einsatzgruppe 1 in Poland, the head of the Security Police in Krakow, and the director of the Security Police in Berlin. He was also involved in the deportation and expulsion of millions of Jews and Poles, and the planning of the 'Aktion AB' to murder Polish intelligentsia. He was a member of the Waffen-SS and a war criminal who was sentenced to death by the Nuremberg Trial.
