Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts in East Grinstead was one of the best and most respected residential schools for the performing arts. Sadly now closed many of its pupils went on to successful careers with top dance and theatre companies around the world and in music, television and on stage.
She trained as a dancer at the Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts in her home town of Romford in Essex, and also attended Bedfords Park Community School in Straight Road, Harold Hill. At the age of 16, she appeared in the West End musical Billy (1974), starring Michael Crawford .
