29. Juni 2023 · Sonya Christian, the new chancellor for the California Community Colleges, has ambitious goals for the system of 116 colleges. To tackle declining enrollment that she describes as a “crisis situation,” she wants to appeal to millions of low-income adults across the state who have never enrolled in college.
California's community colleges are part of the California Community College System (CCCS), which is the largest higher education system in the nation. This system is comprised of 114 community colleges, which serve more than 2.1 million students each year. The CCCS also offers a variety of services to students, including financial aid, career counseling, and transfer services.

März 2021 · Diablo Valley College, DVC, is one of the top transfer colleges in California's community college system, and a significant number of students go on to further their educations at Cal State schools as well as more selective UC schools including Berkeley and Davis.
