Chubby Checker (2008) Nach Engagements in kleineren Nachtklubs und Oldieshows wurde er 1982 von der MCA wieder unter Vertrag genommen und brachte die mäßig erfolgreiche LP The Change Has Come heraus. Checker tourte in späteren Jahren vor allem durch Kneipen und Sporthallen der Vereinigten Staaten.
Chubby Checker (born Ernest Evans; October 3, 1941) is an American singer and dancer. He is widely known for popularizing many dance styles, including the Twist dance style, with his 1960 hit cover of Hank Ballard & The Midnighters ' R&B song "The Twist", and the pony dance style with the 1961 cover of the song "Pony Time".

Chequered! is a studio album released by American singer Chubby Checker. Released by London Records in 1971, it is notable for being a stylistically different approach for Checker, opting for the more psychedelic sound that was popular at the time. It was produced by Ed Chalpin, who was known for giving Jimi Hendrix his first recording contract.
