It made it very clear that Amy was simply a young, talented girl that had no one in her life to guide her and protect her. She didn't even love doing Back to Black and wanted to be more of a Jazz singer, so she was miserable after that album exploded.

4. März 2011 · Be glad you skipped "Chasing Amy", R322. FYI the lesbian character tries to educate the straight guy about women's and same-sex issues for the first half of the film. And in the second half she does some things that are unbelievable, and show that the writer doesn't understand a damn thing about women or lesbians even though he thinks he does.

Juli 2024 · R1, indeed I’ll always first think of him as Captain Styles when he had to take the Excelsior out of space dock early in order to try chasing after Kirk who was stealing the Enterprise. The suspense of it all was permanently seared into my 6 or 7 year old brain. And the Excelsior - what a beautiful ship she was!

He cut Jimmy right off at the beginning (not getting the cues/set up) to get right into how awful the media was to misrepresent what he was saying on Stern (although it seems media used verbatim quotes).

12. Juli 2024 · And the plot twists were energetic and creative. The audience was heavily gay/queer and enthusiastic , and that added something to the experience. Cole/Mary’s lengthy 10-12 minute cabaret revue at the end came across as self-indulgent and unnecessary after the first 5 minutes. Overall 8/10 and recommended!
