Chiharu Igaya ist ein ehemaliger japanischer Skirennläufer. Er war in den 1950er Jahren der erste Skiläufer aus Asien, der in die Weltspitze vordringen konnte. 1982 wurde Igaya Mitglied des Internationalen Olympischen Komitees, und war von 2005 bis 2012 dessen Vizepräsident. Seit 2012 ist er Ehrenmitglied des IOC.

Chiharu Igaya (猪谷 千春 born May 20, 1931) is a former alpine ski racer and Olympic silver medallist from Japan. The first notable alpine racer from Asia, he competed at the Winter Olympics in 1952, 1956, and 1960.

Chiharu Igaya is Japan’s first, and as of 2009, only, Olympic medallist in alpine skiing. A slalom specialist, his capabilities greatly improved during his study at Dartmouth, where he was trained by former downhill World Champion Walter Prager.
