The Chorister School, Durham is to merge with Durham School and operate under one single Foundation, to be known as the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation, from September 2021. The move unites two historic schools which have a shared heritage stretching back over 600 years in the City of Durham.
1937. ( 1937) Closed. August 15, 2017. The American Boychoir School was a boarding/day middle school located in Princeton, New Jersey, and the home of the American Boychoir. The school originated as the Columbus Boychoir in Columbus, Ohio. In 1950, the school relocated after receiving property in Princeton, New Jersey from the Lambert estate.

The majority are Church of England schools but Roman Catholic, Scottish and Welsh church based schools are also represented (Westminster Cathedral School, for example, is Catholic).

A choir school is a school attached to a Christian cathedral, major church or college chapel and educates the choristers who sing at services. Nearly all of them ( Westminster Abbey Choir School is the exception) also educate children who are not choristers.
Wells is a Cathedral Choir School and a Specialist Music School (the only one set within an all-round UK independent school). Chorister scholarships available.
