Christopher John Judge Smith. Profile: (b.1948) England, Chris Judge Smith dropped Chris from his name and in 1967 co-founded Van Der Graaf Generator. He played the drums until Guy Evans joined the band after which he provided backing vocals and "played" assorted gadgets including a typewriter.
