Christopher Julian Leslie (born 15 December 1956) is a British folk rock musician. He joined Fairport Convention in 1997. Early years. Leslie grew up in Banbury, Oxfordshire. His brother John steered him toward The Watersons ' Frost and Fire, Dave Swarbrick, and The Corries.

Christopher Michael Leslie (born 28 June 1972) is a debt collection executive and a former British politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Shipley from 1997 to 2005 and Nottingham East from 2010 to 2019. A former member of the Labour Party, he defected to form Change UK and later became an independent politician .

Aug. 2020 · Fairport multi-instrumentalist, Chris Leslie, incarcerated at home at the end of May and seeing his prospects of playing live (including at the beloved Fairport’s Cropredy Convention) slowly melting away, recognised his opportunity to give the world a positive boost. The result is his excellent new album, Fiddle Back.
