Shooting Star ist eine amerikanische Rock-’n’-Roll-Band aus Kansas City (Missouri). Die Band wurde Ende der 1970er Jahre gegründet. Nachdem Shooting Star in der Gegend von Kansas City an Popularität gewonnen hatte, war es die erste amerikanische Gruppe, die bei Virgin Records unterschrieb.

Shooting Star is an American rock band from Kansas City, Missouri. The band was formed in the late 1970s. After gaining popularity in the Kansas City area, Shooting Star became the first American group to sign with Virgin Records. They recorded their 1979 debut album in England with producer Gus Dudgeon.
