Neil Sedaka, né le 13 mars 1939 à Brooklyn, est un chanteur , auteur et pianiste américain. Biographie [ modifier | modifier le code ] Sedaka s’engage dans la musique avec l’ambition de devenir pianiste de concert ; mais au cours de ses études, il se tourne vers une musique plus vivante, et abandonne bientôt la musique classique au profit de la Pop-music .
10. Feb. 2007 · This CD is beautiful - Neil has an amazing voice - being classically trained he is a master. The well known classical tracks have been recorded with Neil's beautiful lyrics added. A must for your collection! A track that is often heard on the radio is 'Turning back the hands of time' which is Puccini's Nessun Dorma with Neil's own lyrics - words are amazing, very emotional.

In 1995, Neil took a break from composing pop songs and turned his attention to classical music for the first time since his days at Juilliard. The result was the acclaimed “Classically Sedaka”, where Neil adapted classical melodies by Chopin, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Schummann, & Puccini and crafted original lyrics for each piece.
