On Come 2 My House no less than ten out of thirteen tracks were new compositions penned by herself, either with Prince or Larry Graham, other longtime collaborators like vocalists Mark Stevens and Sandra St. Victor, Robert D. Palmer, Howard McCrary or The New Power Generation member Kirk Johnson.

Larry Graham makes an appearance on Come 2 My House, as do many of the musicians who were performing in the NPG in the late '90s — and to deepen the connection to her new collaborators, the album included covers of a Prince song, "Don't Talk 2 Strangers," and a classic 1974 song by Graham Central Station, "Hair."
Come 2 My House is the tenth solo studio album by Chaka Khan, and her first to be released by NPG Records. The album was largely co-written and co-produced by Prince (as ). It was released in the USA in September 1998, with a UK release six months later.
On Come 2 My House, Khan covers Prince’s Don’t Talk 2 Strangers and his 1995 out-takes Journey 2 The Center Of Your Heart and Eye’ll Never B Another Fool. She additionally covers the 1974 track Hair by Larry Graham who was likewise receiving Prince’s help to revive his career, co-producing Graham’s LP GCS 2000.
Come 2 My House. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of this historic collaboration between Chaka Khan and Prince, Come 2 My House will be made available on all digital and streaming platforms on July 21, 2023. Released: July 21, 1998. Record Label: NPG.
