London, England. Bernard Butler guested on Bert’s Crimson Moon and Edge of a Dream albums and played live with Bert at many shows including the 60th Birthday Session filmed by the BBC, the Somerset House Summer Series and on Jools Holland’s Later, along with Johnny Marr.

Okt. 2019 · Between 2000-10 Butler played many shows with the legendary folk guitarist Bert Jansch, featuring on his albums “Crimson Moon” and “Edge Of A Dream” sometimes joined by Johnny Marr and Beth Orton. After Jansch’s untimely death a Royal Festival Hall tribute concert saw Butler accompany Robert Plant amongst the pantheon of folk’s remaining heroes.

Earth Recordings revisits the album on its 20th Anniversary with its first standalone cut to vinyl.
7. Juli 2023 · In its 20th anniversary year, Crimson Moon will be made available on vinyl for the first time as a stand-alone release. Crimson Moon is some of Bert’s finest work following the renaissance begun in the mid-1990s, with appearances from Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler and many more.
