The group's single " Groove Is in the Heart ," which was released in 1990 from their debut studio album, World Clique (1990), was a top-ten hit in multiple countries.
4. Juli 2020 · Deee-Lite were formed of Dmitry Brill aka Supa DJ Dmitry (b.1964), Kierin Kirby aka Lady Miss Kier (b.1963) and Dong-hwa Chung better known as Towa-Tei (b.1965). Originally Dmitry and Miss Kier performed in clubs but were joined by Towa-Tei in 1988 and began recording together.

DJ Dmitry is known internationally as a DJ, producer and co-founder of the seminal New York dance group Deee-lite. In 1990 they released their worldwide smash hit, Groove Is In The Heart, which still packs dance floors today and which Rolling Stone Magazine recently called one of 10 best dance tracks of all time.
