30. März 2023 · He was married to his wife, Dale Krantz Rossington, for over 40 years. Sadly, the recording artist died on Mar. 5, 2023, as confirmed by the band via a Facebook post.
The band wished to develop their own sound rather than being regarded as a reformed Lynyrd Skynyrd, and toward that objective they hired a female lead vocalist, Dale Krantz, who later married Rossington.
5. März 2024 · The lead singer in Rossington is Dale Krantz-Rossington, Gary’s wife. She also fronted Rossington Collins on their two albums, Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere and This Is the Way, before the group disbanded in 1981.
She may be in the background as a backup singer for Skynyrd now, but there was a time when Dale Krantz was the full-throttle lead vocalist leading the Skynyrd survivors first major outing following the plane crash of ‘77 as The Rossington Collins Band.
3. Okt. 2019 · At the time Rossington was promoting the debut album by his band Rossington, which featured his wife, Dale Krantz-Rossington, on lead vocals. They called me from New York and, through the then-new wonder of the conference call, I talked to them both at the same time!
Dale Krantz-Rossington is known for Lynyrd Skynyrd Lyve: The Vicious Cycle Tour (2003), Decades Rock Live (2005) and If I Leave Here Tomorrow: A Film About Lynyrd Skynyrd (2018). She was previously married to Gary Rossington and Raymond Alan Watkins.
