Damghan ( Persian: دامغان, romanized : Dāmghān) [3] is a city in the Central District of Damghan County, Semnan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. [4] It is 342 km (213 mi) east of Tehran on the high-road to Mashad, at an elevation of 1,250 m (4,101 ft).
