Damien English (born 21 February 1978) is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Meath West constituency since 2007, and previously from 2002 to 2007 for the Meath constituency. He served as Minister of State from 2014 to 2023.

Jan. 2023 · Damien English, the Minister of State for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, resigned today after it emerged that he was the owner of another house in Castlemartin, Co Meath, which would have disqualified him from qualifying for local needs on a planning application. The resignation came after 14 years of controversy over his ownership of the house and his failure to declare it on the application form.
