After racking up stage credits with the Gate Theater and the Abbey Players, O'Herlihy turned to films in 1946, impressing critics and filmgoers alike with his breakthrough role in Odd Man Out.
Daniel Peter O'Herlihy was an Irish-American actor. He was known for such roles as Brigadier General Warren A. "Blackie" Black in Fail Safe, Conal Cochran in Halloween III: Season of the Witch, "The Old Man" in RoboCop and RoboCop 2, and Andrew Packard in Twin Peaks.[1]
