7. Juni 2022 · Published 1:23 PM PDT, June 7, 2022. NEW YORK (AP) — Jim Seals, who teamed with fellow musician “Dash” Crofts on such 1970s soft-rock hits as “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “We May Never Pass This Way Again,” has died at age 80.
Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts – two Texas musicians who were enormously popular in the 1970s, remembered for their hits Summer Breeze, Hummingbird, Diamond Girl, We May Never Pass This Way Again, and Get Closer. They made their pop/rock sound famous with incredible vocal harmony, musicianship and Baha’i-inspired songs.
Dash was soon back in California, however, and the friends resumed their careers under the Challenge label, making contributions with acts such as The Knickerbockers, Rick Nelson and Gene Vincent.
