24. Nov. 2021 · Dave Bainbridge, co-founder of Iona, released his latest solo work on November 23rd, To the Far Away. Bainbridge, toured the world and released 13 critically acclaimed albums. His multi-faceted career as a solo artist, keyboardist, guitarist, bouzouki player, composer, improviser, producer, arranger and sound mixer has led him into many musical genres.
Dave gained several performance awards during his time at Leeds College of Music (including BBC Radio 2 Best Jazz Soloist Award). As well as recording 13 albums with IONA, he has also released albums with Troy Donockley and David Fitzgerald and three solo albums. Daveʼs second solo album ʻCelestial Fireʼ, released in November 2014 received rave reviews:
