Website. davyjones .net. David Thomas Jones (30 December 1945 – 29 February 2012) was an English actor and singer. Best known as a member of the band The Monkees and a co-star of the TV series The Monkees (1966–1968), Jones was considered a teen idol.
David Thomas „Davy“ Jones (* 30. Dezember 1945 in Manchester, England; † 29. Februar 2012 in Stuart, Florida, USA) [1] war ein britischer Schauspieler, Perkussionist und Sänger, der insbesondere durch seine Rolle als Mitglied der US-amerikanischen Popband The Monkees bekannt wurde.
Davy Jones' locker is a metaphor for the oceanic abyss, the final resting place of drowned sailors and travellers. It is a euphemism for drowning or shipwrecks in which the sailors' and ships' remains are consigned to the depths of the ocean (to be sent to Davy Jones' Locker).
