David L. Hill was an associate experimental physicist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory during the Manhattan Project and a leader of the group that drafted the Szilard Petition. He also worked at Argonne National Laboratory, the University of California’s Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, and several companies in scientific research and development.
