David Martin Scott Steel, Baron Steel of Aikwood, KT, KBE, PC (born 31 March 1938) is a retired Scottish politician. Nach einem Studium der Geisteswissenschaften und Modernen Musikkomposition in Denver und Fribourg (Schweiz), hält sich David Steel in der Zeit von 1987 - 1989 in London auf, um Erfahrungen in der Popmusik zu sammeln. 1989 kehrt er in die Schweiz zurück und leitet dort ein kleines Programmkino.
