Dawid Tomala (born 27 August 1989 in Tychy) is a Polish race walker. He is the reigning Olympic champion in the 50 kilometres walk, having won the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Tomala also represented his country at the 2012 London Olympics, finishing 19th in the 20 km walk.

Aug. 2021 · With a surprisingly dominant showing in the men's 50-kilometer walk Friday at Sapporo Odori Park, Poland's Dawid Tomala, 31, earned what might be the last-ever Olympic gold medal in the event. The future of the Olympic 50km walk is uncertain. The event already has been excised from the Paris 2024 program, and thereafter is open to debate.
