This collection is a great introduction to the genius of Lou Reed, following on from his beginnings in the Velvet Underground. A complete look at his work in the 1970s would of course have to take account of the Arista albums too. But Different Times is certainly a great collection and a good starting point for those wishing to investigate this poetic genius of rock. Reed is a true original.
