Real Name: Donald Myrick. Profile: US saxophonist, born on 06.04.1940 – died on 30.07.1993 in Santa Monica, CA. During the late 1960s/early 1970s he was a member of The Pharaohs, a band that would more or less evolve into The Phenix Horns, Earth, Wind & Fire 's original horn section.
Mini Bio. Don Myrick was the legendary saxophonist of "The Phenix Horns", the former horn section of Earth, Wind and Fire. Before joining Earth, Wind and Fire, Myrick was a member of Chicago Band "The Pharaohs". He eventually joined the Phenix Horns in 1975 with close friend Louis "Lui-Lui" Satterfield.
