23. Juni 2022 · This compact 3.5-mile-long by 1.5-mile-wide island is easy to explore, making a day trip to South Bass Island and the village of Put-in-Bay a relaxing escape. The best way to get to Put-in-Bay (on South Bass Island) is by Miller Ferry. Leaving from Catawba Island Ferry Terminal, the ride aboard Miller Ferry to the island is just 18 minutes.
16. Sept. 2021 · Put-in-Bay is actually located on South Bass Island, and is just 5 miles south of the Canadian Border. To the north are Middle Bass Island, North Bass Island, Ballast Island, Rattlesnake Island and Sugar Island. Also nearby is Kelleys Island, which offers quite a bit to visitors to the area as well.
