Eadwig (died October 1, 959) was the king of the English from 955 to 957 and ruler of Wessex and Kent from 957 to 959. The eldest son of King Edmund I (ruled 939–946) and the nephew of King Eadred (ruled 946–955), he was probably no more than 15 years old at the time of his accession.

10. Okt. 2009 · Eadwig, the 14-year-old son of King Eadred, died in 959, still in his teens, in circumstances unknown. He was accused of immorality and irresponsibility by his enemies, but his enemies were also enemies of St Dunstan, his tutor and Archbishop of Canterbury. Edgar, his brother, became the new king of the English.
