The East Greenwich Academy (originally known as Kent Academy) was a private Methodist boarding school in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, USA that was in existence from 1802 until 1943. History. The school was founded in 1802 by eight prominent men from East Greenwich and Warwick, who served as stockholders of the school.

29. Juni 2023 · From the Academy building may be seen with the naked eye the cities of Providence, Fall River, Warren, Bristol and Newport. Many persons who have visited Europe pronounce the view from the institution equal to that of the bay of Naples.
About the science center. The science center became a project of the Carcieris a decade ago when they saved the historic Olney House from demolition. The structure had previously been a boy’s dormitory for the East Greenwich Academy which was founded in 1802 and closed in 1943.
