Urge Overkill is an American alternative rock band, formed in Chicago, consisting of Nathan Kaatrud, who took the stage name Nash Kato (vocals/guitar), and Eddie "King" Roeser (vocals/guitar/bass guitar).

Urge Overkill. Rock and roll group from Chicago, Illinois, USA, based around the core songwriting duo of Nash Kato ( Nate Kaatrud) and Eddie "King" Roeser. Kato and Roeser both play guitar and sing lead and backing vocals (depending generally on which of them wrote the song).
Urge Overkill, led by Eddie "King" Roeser and Nash Kato, are two Minnesota native sons who met at Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL, and began the band in Chicago. Taking their name from a Parliament song, Urge Overkill formed in 1984.
