Edward Allen Carter Jr. (May 26, 1916 – January 30, 1963) was a United States Army sergeant first class who was wounded in action during World War II. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military decoration for valor, for his actions on March 23, 1945, near Speyer, Germany. [1] [2]

Dicken has since collaborated with a variety of different artists under various names, as well as releasing solo material and performing 'Mr. Big Greatest Hits' tours. The current Mr Big consists of originals Dicken and Eddie Carter with new members on bass, keyboards and percussion. Their album, Rainbow Bridge, was released in 1996.

It was at this time that "Romeo" was written. Val Garay was brought in to produce the album, that had been recorded after so much hassle in Los Angeles.

He was a California icon on the indy circuit, a tag team champion, a movie star, a radio host and a Medal of Honor recipient. He sang with the Medallions, the Shantones, the Olympics and other groups, and worked with Pistol Pete Marquez, Archie Moore and Muhammad Ali.
