  6. On 5th June 1536, Seymour was created Viscount Beauchamp of Hache with an annuity of 20 marks and a grant of lands and manors in Wiltshire. The following year, on 22nd May, Seymour was admitted into the Privy Council and also to Parliament where his new title ranked him higher than the barons.
