Like Ruby Braff and a long line of players who proceeded him, Warren Vaché is devoted to both the cornet and great melodies. Joined by some of England's top musicians, along with brother Allan Vaché on clarinet on a few tracks, he put together a set dominated by standards from several decades, swinging like mad throughout this 1994 concert at Amerika Haus in Hamburg.
Warren Vaché (born February 21, 1951) [1] is an American jazz trumpeter, cornetist, and flugelhornist. He was born in Rahway, New Jersey, United States. [1] He came from a musical family as his father was a bassist. In 1976, he released his first album. [2] He has often worked with Scott Hamilton and has some popularity among swing audiences.

27. Feb. 2021 · 27 February 2021. 2572. As the title implies, this was Warren’s first date under his own name, recorded one year before ‘Blues Walk’ on Dreamstreet. It serves to show how good he already was by the end of 1976 (he had by this time toured with Goodman), but to my mind the record is unsatisfactorily programmed for listening pleasure.
