It was recorded live as An Evening with Johnny Mercer. In 1974, he collaborated on the West End production The Good Companions . He also recorded two albums of his songs in London in 1974, with the Pete Moore Orchestra and with the Harry Roche Constellation, later compiled into a single album and released as ...My Huckleberry Friend ...

John Herndon Mercer (* 18. November 1909 in Savannah, Georgia; † 25. Juni 1976 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) war ein amerikanischer Sänger, Komponist und Songwriter. Mit Evergreens wie Moon River oder One for My Baby (And One More for the Road) gehört der vierfache Oscar -Gewinner zu den profiliertesten Liedschreibern des 20. Jahrhunderts.
