Trailer. "Eyes Upon Waking" is a passion project, told from my heart, about the pain of suicide and how it is misunderstood by society. This film uncovers the darkness in the minds of those who suffer from their emotions, yet shows how light can be found with the right kind of help.
Inspired by the true story of one person's struggle to find purpose in her own existence. The story follows a very distressed woman into a mental health facility following two attempts to end her life, and examines her growth into a still-troubled person content to continue living.
Ferdinand. Shy, withdrawn, approaching middle-age but still awkward in any kind of company. Feels controlled by his wife, his attempt was meant to punish her for mistreating him. Emma. A teenager caught up in her own emotions. One night she’s crying her eyes out, the next day she goes home in her mother’s arms.
People need to see Eyes Upon Waking. It evoked so many emotions that I kept crying which I haven't done in ages. So heart wrenching. Things that stood out for me: People who care - seek them out and find what makes you feel valuable. I did!! Great casting, dialogue and music. I didn't realize that you portrayed Taren.
