Félix Aimé Pyat, né le 4 octobre 1810 à Vierzon et mort le 3 août 1889 à Saint-Gratien 2, est un journaliste, auteur dramatique et homme politique français, personnalité de la Commune de Paris . Félix Pyat (4 October 1810 – 3 August 1889) was a French socialist journalist, playwright, politician and a leading figure of the Paris Commune . Biography. He was born in Vierzon ( Cher ), the son of a Legitimist lawyer. Called to the bar in Paris in 1831, he threw his whole energies into journalism.

Pyat studied law but eventually quit the bar in order to pursue a career as a radical journalist. He carried on a literary war against Romanticism, condemning it as “reactionary,” and wrote a number of plays.
