Frank Infante (born November 15, 1951) [1] is an American guitarist and bassist best known as a former member of the new wave band Blondie . Early career and Blondie. Infante began his music career playing guitar in hard rock and electric blues groups such as The Elegant End and World War III.
25. Apr. 2023 · While guitarist Frank Infante and bassist Nigel Harrison were in the band when Blondie gained immense popularity, they were not founding members. Although Harrison did play with the band at a handful of reunion dates in 1997, he was kicked out of Blondie soon afterwards, a decision which cost him a lucrative payday.
In July 1977, Valentine decided to leave the band and form his own group, the Know; he was replaced by Frank Infante. In September 1977, the band bought back its contract with Private Stock and signed with British label Chrysalis Records. The first album was re-released on the new label in October 1977.
