  2. Former Toy Factory bassist Franklin Wilkie replaced Caldwell for their next album, Dedicated, but the band was never able to recapture its commercial success of the 1970s. On 1982's Tuckerized , only two songs were written by band members; "Sea, Dreams & Fairy Tales" by Toy Caldwell and "Sweet Elaine" by George McCorkle.

  5. The obvious choice for a replacement came in the form of Franklin Wilkie, a one-time member of The Toy Factory, and a life-long friend of the band. “We knew we would go on,” says Doug. “And Franklin Wilkie was the natural choice.

  6. Tommy replaced the original bassist Franklin Wilkie. They signed with Capricorn Records and released their first LP "The Marshall Tucker Band" in 1973. While not an 'official member', Charlie Daniels also played fiddle on many of the band's early albums.
