Mystery (often stylized as MYSTERY) is a Canadian rock band formed in 1986 by multi-instrumentalist Michel St-Père. The band released their eponymous debut EP in 1992 with Raymond and Gary Savoie on lead vocals, followed by their first album Theatre of the Mind in 1996 and then Destiny? in 1998, both with Gary on lead vocals.

Nachdem Gary Savoie die Band verlassen hatte, wurde er durch Benoît David ersetzt, den St-Père vorher auf einem Yes Tributkonzert der Band Gaïa (später Close To The Edge) kennenlernte. Michel St-Pères Fokus richtete sich nun auf sein Musiklabel, wodurch sich die Arbeiten am neuen Mystery Album verzögerten.

Nicht zuletzt Sänger Gary Savoie sorgt dafür, daß die Band klingt wie eine anspuchsvollere Version von Journey, denn Savoie's Stimme ist der von Steve Perry unglaublich ähnlich. Hört man sich die letzten 5 Minuten "Shadow of the Lake" an, ist man geneigt zu sagen, daß er sogar besser singt.

In the winter of 1991 Raymond Savoie was replaced as lead vocalist by his brother Gary. "In my Dreams" is the only released track with Raymond singing lead vocals, while the rest of the album features Gary in that role.
