Gaylord G. Birch (March 10, 1946 – April 14, 1996) was an American drummer for the bands Santana, Graham Central Station, Cold Blood, Pointer Sisters and Herbie Hancock . History. Birch was the drummer for the Pointer Sisters during 1974 and performed many live performances with the group. [1] .

- Duett von Phil Collins und Chester Thompson, später stößt noch Luis Conte dazu. Okay, der Rahmen ist hier ganz klar. Große Arena und ein Solo, das ganz sicher nicht für die Mucker-Polizei gemacht ist, sondern für den normalsterblichen Musikkonsumenten im Publikum.
- Gaylord Birch 1974 mit den Pointer Sisters. Der Solo-Spot von Herrn Birch startet bei Minute 3:03 und ist dermaßen funky! Der gute Mann legt sich für die Damen richtig ins Zeug und beweist, dass man für ein geiles Solo keine große Ballerburg benötigt.
- Omar Hakim 1985 mit Sting. Omar Hakim spielte 1985 in der ersten „eigenen“ Band von Sting nach dem Ende von The Police. Der dazu gehörige Doku-Film „Bring on the Night“ ist übrigens sehr sehenswert.
