David Ruffin has a killer if not somewhat general voice that powers itself through most of the songs here, and does what it can with the ones that just aren't that interesting. Gentleman Ruffin is one of those albums that makes a young buck like me long for the vetting process that the R&B industry was notorious for in the '70s and '80s.

26. Jan. 2007 · David is excellent here as always with his singing. I was not familliar with any of the songs but there were several good ones on the disc. And as I said David is in excellent form as always. If you like David Ruffin at all you will like the disc, If you love him this is most definitely a must have for your collection. I highly recommend it.
