Geoffrey Gilyard Unsworth (26 May 1914 – 28 October 1978) was a British cinematographer who worked on nearly 90 feature films spanning over more than 40 years. He is best known for his work on films such as Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, Bob Fosse's Cabaret and Richard Donner's Superman.
Geoffrey Unsworth was a famous cinematographer who won two Oscars and five BAFTA awards for his work as a director of photography. He shot many films in black and white, such as Becket (1964) and Tess (1979), and some in color, such as Superman (1978) and Star Wars (1977). He died in 1978 during the shooting of Tess.
